Trailer Spring Repair in Abbotsford & the Fraser Valley
Trailer spring repair in Abbotsford
A trailer that leans, sits unusually low or wears tires unevenly needs a suspension inspection, not a guess at a heavier spring. We help Fraser Valley trailer owners identify replacement springs and related suspension hardware at our Abbotsford shop.
Look beyond the broken spring
On leaf-spring trailers, worn shackle links, seized or worn bushings, loose fasteners and damaged hangers can affect axle alignment. Equalizers also need attention on applicable multi-axle systems. Matching a replacement spring without checking these parts can leave the underlying problem unresolved.
Information to bring
Bring the trailer identification and axle-rating information, the spring part number if readable, clear photos of the mounting arrangement, spring width and the manufacturer's specified length measurements. Tell us whether the spring is double-eye or slipper style. A loaded, worn spring may not measure like a new unloaded spring, so confirm the measuring method before ordering.
Before towing
Do not tow with a broken spring, visibly shifted axle, cracked hanger or loose mounting hardware. Arrange a safe inspection or transport. Replacement springs do not increase the trailer's certified capacity or override its axle, tire, hitch or brake ratings.
